The International Network

Student Placements

CFAB can provide a limited number of supervised student placements for students studying a professional social work qualification in the UK or abroad for 6 months.

In past years, students from Greenwich University, Brunel University, and Arhus Universities of Social Work, Denmark have undertaken placements at CFAB.

CFAB uses a model of group practice learning sessions with the students as it carries the potential for more inter placement and inter agency learning. We believe the students will be able to learn more effectively than in one to one sessions. It will also provide a safe opportunity for students to develop reflective practice. The group will be able to break down specialism boundaries, which is crucial when undertaking international casework. In addition, the model will also accurately reflect situations the students wil frequently be working in once they are qualified.

  • Internships

    CFAB offers internships to those with appropriate qualifications and skills.

    These are available in a variety of departments and areas, including research and policy, international child protection casework, fundraising and marketing, and administration.
