Did you know...?
In 2010, CFAB delivered training to over 500 professionals on international social work issues.
Training for Professionals
CFAB has launched its very own training roadshow where we will aim to visit as many Local Authorites across the UK to deliver specialist training to staff that work with children and families.
The FREE training will explore good social work practice on international cases and will help professionals gain a wider understanding of the measures they can take to better safeguard children across borders.
Booking training with CFAB couldn't be easier, you choose a date and a venue and we come to you to deliver. Our sessions last 2 hours with interactive case studies, discussions and a quiz!
For further details regarding this training and what we can offer you and your team, and for bookings, please contact us on 020 7735 8941 or email us.
Our training is fully supported by the Department for Education
Child Protection Lecture 2011
April 2011
On 4th April 2011 CFAB held its second annual Child Protection Lecture with guest speakers The Rt Hon Baroness Butler Sloss and Jim Gamble speaking on "UK and International responses to child trafficking."
The event welcomed nearly 100 professionals to the prestigous Governor's House in Monument. Both lectures were very inspiring and motivational highlighting the importance of organisations working together on this issue.
The lectures were followed on by a lively plenary session giving members of the audience the chance to ask questions and give their views. The evening was a hugely successful and enjoyable evening.

Child Trafficking Symposium
July 2011
On 6th July 2011 CFAB held a Child Trafficking Symposium for professionals to come together to draft new guidelines and regulations to take to Government to better protect children that are trafficked into the UK.
The day was a huge success with expert speakers starting off the day before delegates had round table discussions to come up with new proposals for each stage in a child's journey to the UK.
The recommendations have been sent to the Minister in Government along with a list of supporting organisations. This is the second symposium CFAB has held and we will aim to hold one per year.
