CFAB Wins the 2025 Supporting Child Refugees Award

CFAB is proud to have won the 2025 Supporting Child Refugees Award for our Family Reunification Project. This recognition celebrates the dedication of our social workers, and highlights the vital support we provide to help vulnerable children heal and rebuild their lives.

We are honoured to announce that CFAB has won the Supporting Child Refugees Award at the 2025 Children and Young People Now Awards.

Since 2019, more than 500 refugee children have been reunited with their families through our Family Reunification Project, which provides the wrap-around support children need to rebuild their lives.

Our holistic approach ensures children can access education, healthcare, housing, welfare support, therapeutic services and family support. We are extremely grateful for this work to be recognised and were especially moved by Judge Indra Morris, who praised the project’s “breadth of support for child refugees.”

We also value this award for shining a light on the crucial work being carried out across the sector to protect some of the most vulnerable children in the UK. Congratulations to our fellow nominees for their outstanding contributions.

Celebrating Our Team

Our social workers build strong, trusting relationships with the children they support, ensuring every child is treated with dignity and understanding. They are deeply committed to every case and take the time to develop meaningful relationships with the children they support.

At CFAB, we are immensely proud of our exceptional team who work tirelessly on the Family Reunification Project, especially Chloe and Ruth (pictured above). A huge congratulations to them; their commitment, expertise and compassion are to thank for this award.

Why This Work Matters

Our Family Reunification Project enables children to heal, prevents family breakdown, and encourages independence, laying the foundations for a better future.

Without CFAB, many children would face a lifetime of disadvantage, whether from homelessness or from entering the care system. By providing sustained support, CFAB helps reduce long-term harm and offers children a real chance to thrive.

Help Us Meet Growing Demand

Demand for our services continues to rise, and we expect to support at least 100 children in the coming year. But with more refugee children in need of urgent support, we cannot meet the unprecedented demand for our vital services alone.

Please donate today to ensure these children have someone they can trust to help them navigate their new lives.
