Service Brochure

We are experts in social work in an international context, cross-border child protection cases, care proceeding requiring cross-border cooperation and overseas placements.

CFAB carries out case services in the UK and abroad referred to us by local authorities, statutory agencies, charities and individual members of the public, as well as our partners in the International Social Service network.

We specialise in understanding UK local authority processes, international legislation and placements. Our position in the ISS network gives us unrivalled access to expert, on-the-ground support, allowing us to assess whether a child’s return to their heritage country is realistic and in their best interests.

Global Reach
In accordance with policies of the International Federation of Social Work, the British Association of Social Work, international conventions and ethical considerations, an assessment in a different country is always best undertaken by a local social worker.  Moreover, it is likely to be illegal, unethical and unsafe for a social worker to undertake regulated practice outside of their own country.CFAB helps broker liaisons between UK children services and similar overseas service providers in 130 countries. If you are interested in our services, we always advise you to call us on 0207 735 8941 to discuss your needs – as political, environmental, religious and other events may affect what can be provided to you.
